Kangaroos train on Aquacell watered turf
November 2009
October 2009 saw the running of the first NSW Rugby League Western Sydney Academy Skill Development Camp held at H.E. Leybutt Sporting Complex, Blacktown. The camp was held over three action packed days full of Rugby League activities. The Camp was hosted by the Blacktown Workers Sports Club and the Blacktown Workers Junior Rugby League Club. Both organisations made huge contributions to the camp. The quality of facilities and fields were at a high standard for the duration of the camp.
The fields were of such a high standard that the Australian Rugby League team, the Kangaroos, were able to hold a two hour training session at the facility in preparation for their successful Four Nations campaign as part of our camp. Both Coaching and Development staff of the Kangaroos were highly impressed with the condition of the Junior League Fields.
